We provide our employees with training and development, and encourage all staff to complete industry recognised qualifications in a number of sectors from insurance, customer service and/or management exams and workshops.

Without our Compare team members, we wouldn’t be able to provide such an excellent service, nor would be able to look after our customers as we currently do. Mark Thomas – founded Compare Insurance in 2008 with the aim to create a completely independent insurance brokerage where the client is at the heart of everything they do. Our continued success has allowed the company to grow and now employs a team of over 40, with a range of skills and experience. We’re very proud to have been recognised by the Welsh Assembly as one of the top businesses within the finance sector in Wales.

Having previously grown two start-ups to million pound enterprises, Mark has accumulated a vast amount of experience in running successful businesses.

Responsible for driving the business forward, Mark’s aim for Compare Insurance is to continue providing the highest levels of customer service, combined with the latest technology to surpass the customers’ expectations of what a modern insurance broker should be.

Happy New Year and I hope you are keeping well!!

I wanted to start the New Year by catching up with all the stuff which I had to put off due to …..the flood!!

Firstly let me start by saying a big thank you Debra to the way in which you “walked” us through the procedure of making a claim and making a really stressful time feel stress free.

You were always available whether by email or phone and never made me feel like a  “fuss pot” or was hounding you!

We followed your instructions and together we dealt with the claim in bite size chunks until it was finalised, making it so easy for me and the staff.

So many people enquired what was going on with Mandrakes when we had to close our doors and I always made a point of flying the flag for the Company and not least you and your professionalism.

“Hello Tracey (Head of Business),

We haven’t spoken before but I have had the pleasure of speaking with a member of your team – Harrison Allardyce.

I am taking the time to write to you today as I am happy to advise that Harrison has been an excellent ambassador for your company.  My insurance premium has increased year on year, I had a number of queries but ultimately have decided to proceed again with the cover outlined by Harrison.

A few points that I wanted to specifically share:
1) He is a polite, clear communicator.
2) He calls when he says he will and when he hasn’t been able to reach me has left a polite voicemail.
3) He comes back to you when he says he will.
4) He clearly explained everything and therefore provided confidence that I am doing the right thing!
5) He assured me that if anything changes with relation to my policy I just need to get back in touch – there is a fee of course but it’s good to know that there is this option.

I appreciate the time and support he has afforded me and the pleasant manner in which he has conducted himself throughout our discussions.

In the nicest possible way I hope I have no cause to speak to him again until next year!
